SASSY: 6-Week Workshop Series
Serious About Stand-Up? Say YES — for 6 Weeks.
Comedy & Cookies — because great standup deserves a great room. Even if it's MY living room.
⚠️ This workshop is designed for ages 16+.
This is where patterns become punchlines. The SASSY 6-Week Series is designed around one simple truth: the more you do the same material, the more you understand what's actually making people laugh.
Each session you'll perform your 5 minutes in front of 14 other standup performers, each using the Laugh Lines system to pinpoint the exact word or moment that got the laugh. You'll stay at the mic for live verbal feedback and Q&A. Beverages and baked goods included.
By the end of 6 weeks, you'll have up to 90 Laugh Line perspectives on your material — and you'll start seeing the patterns that separate a good joke from a great one.
- 6 Sunday sessions, 12:30–3:30 PM
- 15 performers per session
- Laugh Lines feedback system every week
- Up to 90 audience perspectives on your material
- Live verbal feedback & Q&A at the mic
- Beverages & baked goods included 🍪
- All levels welcome
Next series dates: TBD — contact us to be added to the waitlist.
About Your Instructor
Stirling Esse is celebrating 12+ years in stand-up. She was the first woman host of one of the longest-running weekly open mics in Boston (2012–2018) at ImprovBoston, which had been running consistently for almost 3 decades. She has appeared on Stories to the Stage on WGBH, was a founding member of the 50+ improv group Elderberry Jam, and has been co-host of the March Madness Comedy Contest — a fundraiser for the Brain & Behavioral Research Foundation — for several years running its 20th year in 2026.
Stirling didn't just take a class. She worked her way through every level, got a job working shows, and started hosting. Now she's built a system — Laugh Lines — to help you do the same.
